JJ Cromer

Interview with JJ CROMER:

Your childhood ambition:

To be a cryptozoologist.

Something you treasure:

A Japanese teapot, a yokode kyusu. It was a gift from my partner. I make her tea with it every day.

Your worst habit:

Probably my attitude to stress. Or my infrequent showering. Self-doubt? Indecision, probably. Lots, not sure.

The aspect of your work that’s most important to you:

The way the next piece nearly always grows from the current piece. My work’s weedy that way.

Your first job:

Server at Pizza Hut.

Someone whose work you highly recommend:

Iain M. Banks.
