Interview with JEAN LABOURDETTE:

Your childhood ambition:

After wanting to be a secret agent, then an actor, I decided at a very young age that I’d be an artist.

Something you treasure:

What I treasure most in the world is my son Théo.

Your worst habit:

Not sure whether to call it a habit, an obsession or compulsion, but it probably is my ever-present obsession to detail.

The aspect of your work that’s most important to you:

The creative process: the moments when inspiration strikes and images arise on their own from my subconscious.

Your first job:

Painting murals and storefronts in Paris since age 14.

Someone whose work you highly recommend:

Martin Wittfooth.
