Your childhood ambition:

I always wanted to be a marine biologist; marine animals fascinate me.

Something you treasure:

My faith, my family, my freedom.

Your worst habit:

I have a short attention span—it is difficult for me to stay focused and be persistent, but my wife helps me!

The aspect of your work that’s most important to you:

Quality, originality, honesty.

Your first job:

In my teenage years I worked as an apprentice plumber and electrician. My first job related to art was in the workshop of artist Omar Centeno in Tlaquepaque, Mexico.
