¼ – ½ teaspoon saffron, crushed to powder form
1 – 2 cups boiled water
2 – 3 tablespoons rose water
2 – 4 tablespoons sugar
(Only a small quantity of saffron is required, but the measurements of sugar and rose water can vary widely depending on your preferences of taste and sweetness.)
Boil water and pour into a clear dish. Add sugar to water and stir until dissolved. Taste and adjust for sweetness. Stir in saffron, a little at a time, until the mixture is a deep yellow color. Add rose water, again adjusting for flavor and fragrance. Pour liquid mixture into popsicle molds or small cups and freeze.
